How to build a consistent trade review
Context, observation and result. A structure for notes that you will review later.
In this article
A record is easier to come back to when its context, your own observations and the outcome are kept separately. Here is the sequence for such a review.
Record the context
Start the note with the date, the asset and a link to the record or its identifier. That is enough to find the material when you review it again.
Describe what you observed
Write down what the interface showed at that moment. Keep these observations apart from your own explanation of events.
Add the result separately
Once the trade has ended, add the outcome and a new note to the record. Don't replace the original observation with a later explanation.
Leave a question for the next review
Instead of a general assessment, write down a specific question about the data. For example, whether the publication time and the chart period were read correctly.
